lapse

Every WebMCP tool publishes a contract: a name, a description, an input schema. The schema is what the page promises an agent about what it will accept. lapse measures what each tool actually accepts and what it actually returns, and reports where the contract does not hold. Targets are the official Chrome WebMCP reference demos, vendored unmodified under Apache-2.0. Verdicts are HONOURED, VIOLATED, or NOT MEASURED — a probe that could not be generated, could not be run, or never returned is recorded as unmeasured, never counted as a pass.

WebMCP is not enabled in this browser

This page needs the WebMCP API to do anything. Nothing here is broken — the API is behind a flag.
  1. Open a new tab and go to chrome://flags/#enable-webmcp-testing
  2. Set it to Enabled, then click Relaunch
  3. Return to this page and reload
Requires Google Chrome 149 or later. Chrome's in-app browser inside the ChatGPT desktop app supports WebMCP with no flag.

Drive it with an agent

lapse registers its own WebMCP tools, so an agent can run the audit and read the findings without touching the UI. Open this page in an agent-capable browser and try:
